The Compliance Advisor delivers compliance management activities, including advice and insights, to support the effective control of compliance risk across Technology & Operations (T&O).

**What you’ll do**
- Work with key stakeholders to embed, monitor and review the compliance arrangements in order to promote best practice compliance management.
- Being a trusted advisor in the delivery of pragmatic and commercially focused compliance advice to the business relating to business as usual, projects, regulatory change, and continuous improvement of compliance management practices.
- Coordinate with the Compliance teams to embed a regulatory compliant environment that adheres to Suncorp obligations within risk appetite.
- Support the function to administer the Responsible Manager on-boarding and off-boarding process, and monitoring of training completion in line with requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance teams across Suncorp to share insights and promote continuous improvement and consistency of approach.

**What you’ll bring**
- Tertiary qualification in business, finance, law, technology - Desired.
- ACI or Governance Institute of Australia membership and accreditation, or similar - Desired.
- Experience (minimum type and level of experience required to perform the role).
- 5+ years business, regulatory compliance, or risk management in the financial services industry, specifically operations (desired).
- Proven experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders, including management.
- Experience in providing practical compliance advice within a financial services context.
- A demonstrated understanding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework or an understanding of corporate compliance programs.
- Facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret legislation, regulation and standards and to assess the impacts on business portfolio operations.
