Risk & Compliance Advisor

**Provide Risk & Compliance advice to Suncorp Group**:

- **Leverage your previous experience supporting the achievement of Business goals through effective, efficient and commercial, risk and compliance advice and practices.**:

- **12-month contract role available in Brisbane or Sydney**

**What you’ll do**
- Support the Function to achieve its business goals by advising and supporting the delivery of value within Suncorp’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Lead the Function in the identification of risks and controls, and the development of, and adherence to, a control testing program.
- Provide Function wide advice and support on the identification and reporting of incidents, including the raising of relevant issues and actions, detailed breach assessments, and reportable situations, ensuring adequate follow up and timely resolution.
- Drive the Function’s fraud maturity assessment and develop and drive the Function Fraud Control Plan.
- Develop consistent, effective and transparent management of Compliance Obligations and regulatory change, including identifying, managing and remediating breaches of obligations.
- Provide risk advice to project teams and assist teams in the establishment and ongoing review of Integrated Risk Assessment Templates (IRAT).
- Complete regular and adhoc reporting as required for Function leadership team and the Group Risk team.

***What you’ll bring**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or Risk.
- Demonstrated capability and experience in an operational risk management advisor role. _(Regulatory Compliance background is also desired)._
- Ability to identify, advise and support resolution of risk and compliance requirements with Divisional Leadership teams in line with Risk appetite (i.e. able to find innovative solutions to problems).
- Consultancy/advisory experience within business operations, preferably human resources.
- Change Management exposure.
- Understanding of key Agile and Lean principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills - ability to manage changing requirements and prioritise workflows.
- Ability to be customer obsessed by understanding client requirements and have the desire and ability to consistently exceed their expectations.
- Effective stakeholder management skills with a variety of stakeholders, including our partners.
- Ability to analyse data to identify underlying issues and trends and use this information to present opportunities for improvement.
