**About the Client**:
The Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) is a multidisciplinary not-for-profit society whose mission is to advance the clinical practice of diagnostic ultrasound. ASUM provides education and sets standards of practice to ensure practitioners give the highest standards of patient care.

**About the Role**:
As the Communications Officer, you will report to the General Manager and oversee the planning and promotion of ASUM's events, initiatives, and educational products, and services. You will develop communication strategies, implement marketing plans and activities across different channels, and engage with members, the ultrasound community, and other stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.

**About the Person**:
You will enjoy working within a collaborative and inclusive small team environment.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Manage and implement the marketing and communications strategy and plan in line with business objectives.
- Create and coordinate content and collateral across various platforms e.g., social media, newsletters, website.
- Drive and build member engagement to increase brand awareness and recognition.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse and report on marketing campaigns and engagement performance.
- Conduct administrative and Ad hoc duties as required.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Previous experience in communications or marketing.
- A creative flare and a passion for driving strategy.
- Experience in copywriting and creating content.
- A high attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Confidence and strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders.
- A proven team player & tech savvy
