Why come to work at FMClarity?
Are you an agile product manager looking for a tech startup with a product that is truly inspired? One of those ideas which once you’ve heard - it’s hard to believe it doesn’t exist in the market and yet the gap really is there?
Let’s face it, ideas that can change a market are rare. Finding a need which is so underserved and then shaping the vision can be the difference between an average job and the highpoint of your career.
If you’re interested in a position which can extend a rapidly growing venture in a market which is crying out for modern solutions, then this is a perfect opportunity. We’re looking for a Product Manager who is ready to step in with a team of excellent developers, UX and Test Engineers to guide them in building out our core product and expanding the product suite.
We want someone who is R&D and invention focused, who is driven to push the product vision ahead with the most powerful methods. We’re an agile shop, but we borrow from Lean Startup, UX and design thinking. This is a golden window of opportunity to come in and shape something into a significantly innovative ecosystem and reap the rewards.
If you’ve ever marvelled at the opportunity for SaaS to move quickly the way Netflix or Facebook has, but for enterprise, then this is a role you should consider.
FMClarity is a Melbourne based proptech business, on a mission to simplify and streamline the facilities management (FM) industry through the development of an interconnected, intuitive ecosystem. We have lived and breathed FM and have now breathed life into a product that is loved by medium to large businesses in managing their portfolios of commercial properties.
FMClarity is a work system for Facility Managers, Property Managers, Portfolio Managers, Technicians and Service Providers.
It’s a web and mobile communication platform, document warehousing, analytics, moving into machine learning for Building and Asset optimisation, IoT, 3D Digital Built Environment, Vehicle and Fleet management, Data Lakes and an extensive range of IP beyond that.
We’re looking for a passionate Product Manager to live the voice of the customer and help guide and shape the company’s mission, vision and the high level problems we are solving. We’re after someone who is excited about building awesome products, uses data to empower great decisions and works collaboratively with our team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Product design and delivery of the products
- Being the product evangelist for customer engagement, and planning for risk and growth
- Perform regular market, customer, competitor research
- Develop product strategy and product vision, along with assistance from the CEO and Tech Lead and provide direction, prioritisation and guidance to the team
- Oversee every element of the product from its conceptualisation to its launch and post-launch performance
- Organise the analysis of our customer segments, value propositions and product positioning
- Enabling development teams to develop a world class product in the most efficient way, taking into account market trends, customer feedback and competition as key drivers for FMClarity to lead the market
- Build and guide Agile teams that can respond to customers’ needs quickly and efficiently with flexibility, adapting to their needs
- Lead and facilitate discovery and feature design sessions
- Develop stories and requirements that are clear and broken down into manageable sizes
- Gather relevant feedback on upcoming features from stakeholders
- Showcase functionality to stakeholders
- Provide coordination and support to development, marketing and customer support roles
- Be the product spokesperson to the industry and customers, being able to take customers on a journey with
FMClarity whilst at the same time conveying the benefits of FMClarity.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Progressive experience as a Product Manager, building and maintaining software systems focusing on cloud, mobile and web infrastructure and deployment systems. Must have previous experience building Agile teams and processes to deliver complex SaaS.
- Background experience in a startup with digital products, leading strategic planning to achieve flexible business goals and prioritise development initiatives.
- Ability to think analytically and articulate needs from a customer standpoint, extrapolating requirements to adequately cover the given scope so design and development are effectively empowered to implement solutions
- Experience leading cultural growth and development
- Ability to collaboratively gain alignment with key stakeholders, and design and development teams by advocating for customer needs and adjusting problem definitions as needed.
