**COURT SECURITY MANAGER - FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL**
**About the role**:
As part of our recently extended contract with the Department of Justice, Ventia have a rare opportunity for a **Court Security Manager** to join the **Fiona Stanley Hospital Secure Unit** team in WA.
This role will see you as a critical member of the operational management team, where you will be supported and mentored by the **Assistant Director**and will see you assist in the delivery of an effective and efficient operation and support the development of your team.
**Your duties will include but are not limited to**:
- Follow the Standing Operating Procedures and ensuring they are adhered to.
- Supervise permanent staff and facilitate appointments.
- Liaise with, build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders, including Hospital Staff and Prisons Staff.
- Allocate daily duties to staff.
- Represent Ventia at Hospital Group meetings as required.
- Actively participate in the Performance Development and Management process for direct reports, ensuring alignment to the performance pillars - Perform, Grow, Develop and Innovate.
- Carry out all work activities upholding the Company values of Integrity, Ingenuity, Collaboration and Challenge.
- Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
- Drive compliance excellence with Ventia’s Risk Management, Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Assurance management systems, including statutory obligations.
**Skills and experience**:
- Certificate III & IV in Corrective Practice or be willing to complete
- Senior First Aid & CPR or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting staff, preferably within a custodial environment
- Great computer skills for the purposes of reporting and completion of ePEMS
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership potential
- Great computer skills for the purposes of reporting and ensure the data capture management system (ePEMS) is kept up to date in all aspects
- Great communication skills to engage with stakeholders including hospital staff and police amongst other
- The ability to problem solve and act on your own initiative
**What we offer**:
- $110, 210 TFR (Annual salary +Super)
- Other mandatory conditions, to be eligible for this position:
- Be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen (people holding visas will not be considered)
- Be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Federal Police Check, Criminal History Check & Working with Children Check
- Undergo a pre-employment clinic medical including a drug & alcohol test
