The Strategic Coordination Team within the DCCEEEW Office of the Secretary is currently seeking to appoint a **Project Officer, Strategic Coordination**. The role sits within the Strategic Coordination Team which provides support to the Secretary and the Executive Leadership Team including coordinating whole-of-DCCEEW information and material, delivering strategic projects, and supporting corporate policy updates. The team supports divisional and branch coordination, reporting, and improvement of information management, workflows, and processes. The team also delivers corporate culture initiatives for the division.
**About the role**
The Project Officer, Strategic Coordination will:
- Coordinate Departmental responses to information requests from the Secretary, Minister and Executive Leadership Team
- Prepare and review contentious/sensitive material such as correspondence, briefing materials and speaking points
- Organise meetings, agendas and briefing materials
- Support the division and branch with reporting, information management, and developing and implementing processes
- Support corporate culture initiatives
- Support strategic and corporate policy projects that require a whole-of-DCCEEW perspective
**About You**
- We are looking for a strategically minded, conscientious and innovative team player
- Strong communication and organisational skills will be key to successfully delivering results
- Sound judgement and attention to detail for reviewing documents which are often extensive and complex
- Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities to support team and branch deliverables in a high-volume environment
- An interest in improving systems and processes
- Strong relationship building and engagement skills for supporting corporate culture initiatives and coordinating across all levels of government
**Essential Requirements**:
- Experience in providing advice on complex/sensitive/contentious issues to senior management or ministerial level.
