About the Role:
As a Finance Analyst in the Technology department, you will be an integral part of the team, providing crucial support to the Technology business unit and cost centre managers. You will work in close collaboration with the Finance Manager, Technology, and engage with the Technology team and the wider finance team to facilitate financial processes and deliverables related to the Technology department. 1

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the month-end financial processes for Technology, as well as providing monthly performance reports on operating costs, Capex, balance sheet, and cash flow items. Additionally, you will support the budgeting and forecasting processes and serve as a financial business partner to several cost centre managers.

What you’ll be doing:
- Perform month-end close process to a high standard and in a timely and efficient manner, including identifying and processing monthly accruals and journals.- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end close, as well as the quarterly balance sheet review process- Prepare (and communicate) the business unit management performance reporting- Provide insights on business performance against strategy through variance analysis and commentary- Identify ongoing risks & opportunities that need to be managed

Finance Business Partnering- Play key support role and financial partner to respective cost centre managers and their teams.- Promote a cost-conscious and cash-conscious culture within the business unit, and support delivery of cost saving or working capital initiatives

Budget and Forecasting- Play key role in delivering the forecasting process from collection of inputs, navigation of interdependencies and preparation of outputs to stakeholder buy-in- Assist with the review and challenge of budgets and forecasts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow

What you’ll bring to the table:
- CA/CPA/ACA/MBA qualified- Advanced user of a Finance module of ERP (preferably SAP)- High quality written communication skills including exposure to board papers.- Strong analytical and conceptual skills- Ability to pick up new concepts quickly and problem solve independently.- Ability to present complex data/concepts in a clear and easily understood manner.- Ability to influence and interact with senior management & executives across the business.
