Finance Analyst

**The opportunity**

The Finance Analyst will provide support to the Finance Manager for the Technology Function leading and coordinating the annual/3-year planning/forecasting processes, delivery of month-end reporting, ad hoc financial analysis, and delivery of business insights.

The Finance Analyst will support more complicated Technology Business Units as well as provide support and coaching to Finance Analysts within the team and across the broader Market Unit Functions team.

**contract position based in our Melbourne office when you are not working from home. (Bupa offers hybrid working and you can work from the office or at home)**

**How will I help?**

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Support the delivery of the Technology forecast and annual operating plan as part of the 3year annual planning process - using business data/information/assumptions to undertake financial analysis and forecast trends
- Provide ad-hoc information, analysis and value-added insights to support decision making
- Build and maintain trusted relationships and create successful partnerships with your stakeholders, developing a good understanding of the Technology function and the key financial drivers to improve quality of value-added insights
- Support the monthly reporting processes including Flash, Functional Executive Report, Capex and monthly forecasts
- Complete month end reporting close, delivering true and accurate financial results - includes preparation of month end journals, variance analysis and investigative enquiries to understand underlying cost drivers
- Prepare monthly executive reporting submissions - includes variance commentary, forecast, risks and opportunities
- Prepare monthly financial / performance reports for assigned functions - key stakeholders include cost centre managers, functional managers, heads of departments, as well as various steering committees
- Support BUPA Technology consolidated and resource utilisation reporting.

**What do I need?**

**This role would suit someone who is currently in a position as a Management Accountant or Analyst and has strong analytical skills, with a track record of building commercial needs.**
- Degree qualified - Finance / Business or similar
- CA / CPA qualified or similar
- 2+ years post-qualified experience delivering management reporting, budget & planning, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in a large or complex environment
- Strong technical ability in the areas of accounting, reporting, budgeting & planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts simply and succinctly
- Intermediate or Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to think analytically and commercially and strong problem-solving ability
