Sydney, Australia Atlassian Full time

As the Automation experience in Atlassian gets more sophisticated, we are tasked with tackling increasingly complex orchestration features for our biggest enterprise customers. This role will join another lead designer to help support a team of ~8 designers to deliver on a variety of technically complex features for Automation as our platform matures.

**Working at Atlassian**

Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Initially, this role will be focused on orchestration capabilities, which includes agentic experiences, which are also the foundation of the future of Automation overall. These are complex, powerful features that are mission critical for some of the huge customers that use Automation every day.

You’ll be working with other designers closely, as well as technical architects and PMs. The role encompasses day to day delivery on projects, supporting junior designers, and collaborating cross-craft to deliver vision/concept pieces that will shape the future of our offering.- You have a track record of delivering outcomes. We'll ask for specific examples where you've planned and driven product direction autonomously.
- You can lead and inspire others. You have experience and can show examples of when you built consensus with cross functional peers, key partners and executives across a business to influence a result. Similarly, outside of work you are an authority in your domain and share ideas with your industry peers.
- As a very senior member of the product design team, you inspire and mentor your more junior colleagues. Sharing processes, skills and experience with others to help up-skill the entire team.
- You are master of craft, validated through Conceptual Thinking & Modeling, User-centeredness and analysis, and Technical & Product Knowledge.
- A strong storyteller, you’ll also need strong facilitation and collaboration abilities, a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams, and the attitude to always strive for the best outcomes.
- You've gained experience working on enterprise cloud software
- Ideally, you have experience in highly technical areas, including but not limited to Automation and AI
- Importantly, you have strong executional skills too, with a strong understanding of Figma and how it is best used with sophisticated design systems.
