About the role:
Are you ready to lead the future of test automation at Tyro? As the Test Automation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Quality Engineering Practice by defining and executing the Test Automation Roadmap.

You'll have the opportunity to architect, design, and build cutting-edge test automation frameworks that empower our engineering teams, while managing and mentoring a team of talented engineers. This role offers a unique chance to influence our tooling strategy, drive innovation across API, mobile, frontend, performance, and security testing, and collaborate closely with tech leads and architects to elevate automation across Tyro.

What you'll do:
- Architect, design, and build robust test automation frameworks and tools for use across all Tyro engineering teams.- Develop and manage a backlog of test automation initiatives, ensuring a steady stream of prioritised work for the automation practice.- Define and implement the organisation's tooling strategy, focusing on API, data, mobile, frontend, performance, and security.- Build reusable frameworks for mobile automation, covering Android, iOS apps, and payment terminals.- Enhance CI/CD practices by integrating automated testing into every build using Jenkins and Buildkite.- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Test Automation Engineers and Graduate Quality Engineers to deliver high-impact results.

What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior Automation QE or Test Automation Lead, with a passion for building test automation frameworks that enhance both speed and quality.- Strong ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, delivery managers, and stakeholders, while embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle.-
- Confidence to challenge existing ideas and continuously improve automation strategies and processes.- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing in a cloud-based environment, with experience working in AWS.- Hands-on experience with API, UI, and mobile test automation frameworks, along with a deep knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.
