**Your role**

- We’re looking for a Middle Office Specialist to:
- be responsible for a suite of controls, facilitating support aimed at capturing all risk events within the shortest time possible
- ensure T0 trade data integrity (completeness, accuracy and timeliness)
- perform front-to-back reconciliations and manage lifecycle management related processes, monitoring and improving transaction flow
- make sure that trade booking practices adhere to predefined models, acting as gateway into the front-to-back infrastructure and maintaining static data maintenance
- investigate and respond to the business, risk, P&L, settlements, confirmations, legal and IT queries
- perform front-to-back reconciliations and manage lifecycle management related processes, monitoring and improving transaction flow
- understand their processes and controls in meeting regulatory reporting requirements within the Australian market
- be actively involved in other projects that will benefit the local operations and middle office teams

**Your team**
- You’ll be working in the Middle Office team in Sydney, Australia. We provide post trade control services to our business stakeholders. As a Middle Office specialist, you’ll play an important role in providing our internal clients / stakeholders the confidence that our lifecycle management bookings, controls and reporting are performed timely and understood

**Your expertise**
- ideally 1 - 5 years of experience in a similar middle office, operational risk and control function. Financial services background within Equity or FRC derivatives would be a plus
- great at problem analysis and resolution: identify and examine problems in order to understand them, generate options and recommend solutions which are logical, reasonable and realistic
- proven risk assessment, fostering a zero tolerance policy for poor integrity and risk taking
- clear communication style
- escalation awareness; not being shy in asking questions is key
- a pro-active attitude to seeking answers and well organized. Having a basic understanding of ASIC regulatory reporting is a nice to have, but not necessary
- good partner, collaborator across functions to deliver strategic projects and change
