As their local trading and sales footprint expands, anewly created opportunityhas been created for aMiddle Office Analystto join their Capital Markets business in afront-office alignedsupport and control role.This is an ideal move for someone with a background in Capital Markets Operations (middle or back office) who wants to getcloser to the action, working closely with Sales, Trading, Clients, and global operations teams to ensure seamless execution and resolution of trade-related activity.The RoleYou'll join a high-performing team, and will act as theconduit between the local Front Office and offshore Operationsteams in Asia and Europe.
The focus is on ensuring timely trade booking, allocation, validation, settlements, and life cycle events across a broad product set.You'll be thego-to personfor stakeholders - helping resolve issues quickly, escalate settlement fails, support post-trade queries, and help the business stay compliant and operationally sound.Key responsibilities include:Managing trade allocations (FX, Bonds, Credit) and overseeing smooth deal flowSupporting settlement processes, tracking fails, and acting as escalation point for internal and external stakeholdersResponding to post-trade client queries including novations, allocation adjustments, and booking errorsCoordinating with offshore Middle and Back Office teams to ensure timely execution and accurate bookingsParticipating in cross-functional projects including new product rollouts, system improvements, and regulatory enhancementsMaintaining daily controls, reporting, and compliance with governance and procedure frameworksWho we're looking forThis role suits someonedetail-driven and proactivewho thrives in a client-facing operations role - someone who enjoys problem solving and keeping things running smoothly in a high-pressure environment.You'll have:3-5 years ideally of experience in Capital Markets OperationsStrong product knowledge across FX, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives and MM instrumentsFamiliarity with trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and allocation flowsStrong communication skills and confidence dealing with senior stakeholdersA high level of initiative and ability to resolve issues autonomouslyStrong academics and a degree in Finance, Economics or similarFlexibility to work staggered hours (approx. 10-11am start / 7-8pm finish) to align with offshore teamsAustralian Permanent Residency or Citizenship is essentialWhy join?
