**The Role**
You will lead a team of Workforce Planners and Data Analysts who are responsible for creating, importing and verifying Defence workforce data using the Cognos HR Data Warehouse and other tools.
You will liaise with and assist personnel from Defence groups on strategic workforce issues, and prepare and proof responses to routine and ad hoc requests for information pertaining to the Defence workforce.
You will lead your team to research and analyse Defence workforce trends, provide briefs on these issues, develop metrics to model, measure, forecast and report on the health of the Defence workforce.
**About our Team**
The role of the Workforce Analytics team is to provide integrated strategic level workforce information, analysis, guidance and advice on the current and predicted future health of the ADF, APS and combined workforces.
They must be able to think analytically and strategically and have an awareness of Defence’s current strategic direction and an understanding of how the workforce contributes to Defence capability. A well-rounded understanding of the Defence organisation and the relationships between its component parts would be an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, being organised with an ability to meet deadlines, and experience managing competing priorities are required skills for this role.
