**Head of Enterprise Data**

Our client, a major Federal Government client is looking for an experienced Head of Enterprise Data.

The main focus of this position is to bring a high performing
**data warehousing** team of EDW developers and operations and manage meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**The Head of Enterprise Data will be responsible for**:

- Providing senior leadership/direction to a large data warehousing engineering team of 30 people.
- Play a critical role in the Engineering leadership team, steering the function by contributing to the strategy and determining which problems to invest in solving. From direction setting and engineering roadmap in line with Data Warehouse and Data Service strategy.
- Identify solutions and develop growth mindset of working in a true **Agile** way.
- Manage meaningful relationships with individuals, stakeholders, and the community.
- Facilitate and lead discussions and presentations with multiple project delivery teams to get great outcomes for the organisation.
- Promote and improve the maturity of the engineering practices across the business.
- Background experience working in a Teradata and/or SAS environment.
- Consulting/advisory experience is desirable, but not essential
- Understanding and foreseeing on Technology trends including Cloud Infrastructure, Data Science Projects and etc
- Involvement and direction in technology/business projects.
- Development and implementation of continual process improvement including ‘best practice’ workflows and adoption by the Technology teams.
- Client focused with strong communication skills and negotiation skills.
