Data Governance Key Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Analyst to play a pivotal role in uplifting enterprise data governance.

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data domain leads, technology, security, and risk experts.

The successful candidate will sit within the Chief Data Office as part of the Data, Technology and Security Division.

This position reports directly into the Head of Data Strategy and Governance and will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders and project teams.

  • Embed enhanced enterprise data governance in alignment with APRA's multi-year Data Strategy.
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, standards, and frameworks across data lifecycle activities.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on data governance practices to enable the development of a new data platform.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed data governance best practices and uplift data maturity.

About You

  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, data quality, data analysis, and data risk management.
  • Demonstrates initiative and operates as a self-starter, driving tasks and improvements independently.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
