**About your new role**

The Governance Officer will provide high level support to corporate governance and risk-related committees for The Star Sydney properties. This will involve working closely with the Head of Governance and Risk and Controls teams to support them in the coordination and management of committees, meetings and administration.

Specifically, this pivotal role will involve:

- Documentation of charters and ensuring Terms of Reference are maintained.
- Meetings and decisions are appropriately documented, shared and stored accordingly.
- Each forum is appropriately attended, and actions are clear, documented and followed up between meetings.
- Documentation relating to various forums is appropriately stored and shared with management.
- Support business leaders in preparing various committee agendas, minutes and /or Board papers.
- Support the controls performance and testing team with the administration of the controls register and the preparation of control testing reporting.
- Continually review the committee/forum minutes and action items
- Assist in the design and implementation of key processes to support the collection of reporting and approval requirements.
- Create, analyse, monitor and report on committee timelines via the use of dashboards.

This challenging and fast paced role will utilise your excellent eye for detail, organisational skills, ability to multitask and prioritise tasks and use your excellent time management skills. You have articulate and professional business writing skills, corporate communication skills, a critical thinking mindset and you enjoy working in a trusting and collaborative team environment.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
This role would suit a proactive, enthusiastic and organised professional who enjoys using their high-level PA/Secretarial skills and enjoy liaising and coordinating with key stakeholders. Ideally, you have an undergraduate degree in a legal, commercial, business or corporate administration field and experience working in a corporate risk function or for a highly regulated organisation. This exciting and rewarding position will also utilise your experience using Excel and the MS Suite.
