There is an opportunity for a Community Engagement Officer to deliver on the daily engagement activities of the community. Your role will be ensuring proactive engagement with stakeholders and the community to minimise disruption and resolve enquiries in a proactive, efficient and timely manner.

**This role requires you to**:

- Support the day to day community engagement on the contract, working with project engineers to ensure communications collateral is ready and projects avoid any delays.
- Support the implementation of the Community Engagement Plan.
- Identify relevant community impacts from delivery of our services and work with internal teams to mitigate these where possible.
- Maintain up to date information regarding status of enquiries in our customer databases and respond in a timely manner to complaints and enquiries.
- Ask the right questions of internal staff to understand how services are delivered and translate technical information into clear and concise responses.
- Strong attention to detail. Organised and able to effectively manage time, prioritise and work in a fast paced, high pressure, deadline driven environment.
- Assist the Community Engagement Manager with monthly client reporting.

**About you**:

- Degree qualified in in communications, journalism, public relations or equivalent discipline.
- Ideally one to three year's experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or communications roles.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex and technical information into clear, concise messages.
- Ability to prepare high quality responses to customer feedback, ministerial and media enquiries.
- Adaptable and resilient. Calm and collected when work tempo increases.
- Transport and or construction exposure would be held in high regard.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $81,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
