**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a Community Engagement Lead to deliver on the daily engagement activities. This includes proactive engagement with stakeholders and the community in order to minimise disruption and resolve enquiries in a proactive, efficient and timely manner.

Actively mentoring the junior members of the team you will be responsible for providing expert advice to ensure we are meeting our stakeholder and community expectations.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Lead the day to day community engagement on the contract, working with project engineers to ensure communications collateral is ready and projects avoid any delays.
- Maintain up to date information regarding status of enquiries in contracts customer system, and respond to ministerial enquiries in a timely manner
- Assist the Community Engagement Manager and Stakeholder Liaison Manager with briefing sessions for local councils
- Assist the Community Engagement Manager with finding and producing good news stories for social media
- Support the Community Engagement Manager and Sustainability Manager with requirements for the ISC rating including achieving mandated targets
- Assist the Community Engagement Manager with monthly client reporting.

**About you**
- Degree qualified in communications or a relevant discipline.
- Ideally 3 to 5 year's experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or communications roles.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex and technical information into clear, concise messages.
- Ability to prepare high quality responses to customer feedback, ministerial and media enquiries.
- Adaptable and resilient. Calm and collected when work tempo increases.

Transport and or construction exposure would be held in high regard.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
