**The Company**

ROC Consulting are proud to again be recruiting in New South Wales for a major supplier of high-quality lighting and electrical products. The business is now a large player in the electrical market and prides themselves on their broad and high-quality range of products. They're a preferred supplier to many major wholesalers and have existing accounts in every state. Their product range includes a variety of commercial and industrial products suitable for all types of industries.

**The Vacancy**

Due strong year on year growth of the business, the position of Operations Manager has recently become available. This role will be responsible for the various functions of the business including overseeing the coordination of manufacture inbound shipping, warehousing/ 3PL operations and distribution, inventory management as well as all compliance processes related to industry rebate schemes. In conjunction with management, this role will also assist in systematically implementing internal changes and structures to aid the business it growth moving forward.

Responsibilities will include:

- Ensure warehouse & 3PL functions of the business are running smoothly
- Implement best practices to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Document, formalise and update operational procedures within the business
- Assist in cross training staff on different functions to improve business and customer experience
- Accurately forecast stock requirements and make necessary adjustments to inventory
- Develop commercial relationships with customers, freight suppliers and other external stakeholders
- Act as an intermediary between the sales/ projects and manufacturing teams
- Coach, mentor and develop talent by providing tools and techniques that improve their effectiveness

**Criteria Required**

To be considered for this position, you'll need to satisfy the below criteria:

- 5+ years in Operations Management roles
- Ability to run and management warehouse operations
- Experienced in inventory management and forecasting
- Prior experience working within a manufacturing/ product supply business
- Strong general supply chain experience
- Excellent commercial, interpersonal, change management and communication skills
- Experience in a Management role with staff
- Experience with using ERP software systems
- Electrical or lighting industry experience (preferred but not necessary)
- The ability to self-motivate and operate unsupervised
- High level time management
