**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Liverpool City Council is guiding this rapid transformation and is seeking a highly motivated Operations Support Officer. Reporting to the Operations Support Lead, the role sits within the Operations Directorate of Liverpool City Council and is part of the directorate's administrative team.

The role will see you supporting and delivering a broad range of high-level administration duties across the directorate, with a cohesive team approach to the managers and coordinators within a diverse directorate. Some of your duties will include working closely with managers and coordinators on council documentation, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, raising and receipting purchase orders and invoices, coordination and preparation of agendas, minute taking, ordering of stationary, provision of timely and accurate word processing and data entry, ensuring that all information is in accordance with appropriate administrative standards and council processes, updating records, and ensuring all enquiries for the directorate from internal and external stakeholders are answered in a timely manner, in line with the council's policies.

This position works closely with the Manager for Environment and oversees the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) by way of overseeing all administration requirements for the committee, such as preparation of documentation and tasks related to the committee, agenda preparation, managing membership, as well as minute taking. There is a lot of opportunity to step up and learn new things outside of the normal day-to-day duties of the role within the directorate.

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated skills in a busy and varied process-driven administration role. Local Government Experience is preferred but not essential.
