This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise or grow your generalist People and Culture (HR) skills while you provide specialist advice and support across our Safety, Risk and Wellbeing programs and processes, ensuring that we continue to promote a positive, proactive and compliant safety culture.

**What You’ll Be Working On**
Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, you will coordinate and implement a range of Safety, Risk and Wellbeing programs and processes and assist with other employee life-cycle areas including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development and other People and Culture projects, initiatives and events.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice and guidance on policies, processes and legislation
- Implement Safety, Risk and Wellbeing programs and initiatives
- Coordinate and assist with workplace safety inspections, risk assessments and audits
- Coordinate our Health and Safety Committee, including the preparation of various reports, agendas and minutes
- Support injured staff in their return to work and liaise with key stakeholders including our insurer and rehabilitation provider
- Coordinate WHS training and awareness sessions for staff, committee members and managers
- Assist in the coordination of recruitment, selection, onboarding and offboarding processes and documentation
- Assist the implementation of other People and Culture programs including learning and development; staff events; initiatives and projects
**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest and established skills in Workplace Health and Safety, who also has or is seeking to develop broader generalist experience in People and Culture (HR).
To succeed in this position, you will hold (or be actively working towards) tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related discipline, and possess 1-2 years of demonstrated experience and knowledge in WHS and/or People and Culture functions.
Your approachable nature, strong interpersonal and networking abilities will enable you to build effective relationships with management, staff, and service providers. You thrive in team environments and demonstrate a high capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining strong attention to detail and a keen interest in analysing trends and issues.
