**About the Home**
- Bupa Mosman is a modern care home set in a leafy suburb on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, 20 minutes from Sydney's CBD. It is close to the local community and Balmoral beach with neighbouring medical centre, shopping village, restaurants, cafes, parks and transport links. It consists of 64 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

**The Role**

As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident's choices and independence.

The Recreational Activities Officer role will be offered as permanent part time to cover fortnightly rosters of the Care Home_**

**Duties**
- Plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
- Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum of a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
- Previous experience within an aged or community care setting
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills
- The ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement - successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.
