DESCRIPTION

Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs.

Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies.
- Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks.
- Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed.
- Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity.
- Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks.
- Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics.
- Support the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of Exchange Point objectives.
- Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules.
- Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Experience in logistics
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 20kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing teams
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel and outlook
