A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a hands-on Payroll Services Manager to lead a dedicated team of 11 Payroll Officers, processing fortnightly payroll for 4000+ employees using Chris21.

In this integral position, you will facilitate the management of the payroll activities of the Catholic Healthcare Payroll Services Team, ensuring that the payroll service provided to Catholic Healthcare Services & Corporate Units is of an excellent standard, is legislatively compliant & meets commercial audit expectations.

Your high attention to detail and ability to be equally people and task focussed whilst maintaining a calm supportive approach, will aid in your success.

Your days will include;
- Processing Corporate Payroll with the support of a Senior Payroll Officer
- Manage payroll processing - ensure accurate payments to employees and costs to the business
- Manage and support the payroll team of 11, in the process of payroll
- Manage salary packaging data to & from outsourced packaging providers
- Ensure that workloads of each member of the team are managed to meet service delivery standards
- Assist in the development, review & implementation of payroll policies & procedures
- Assist in the review & assessment of internal superannuation administration standards & compliance
- Ensure maintenance & compliance with all industrial Awards & Agreements, in addition to compliance with individual contracts
- Provide ad hoc reports as required
- Ensure compliance organisational policy, legislative & regulatory standards & requirements
- Assist with Month End Superannuation Payments
- End of Year processing
- Annual performance reviews, training and continuous support of team members

The ideal applicant will have previous people management experience, together with the ability to work effectively & efficiently with internal & external Key stakeholders, in addition to;
- Ability to interpret and understand EBA’s and Awards
- Chris21/ single touch payroll reporting experience - Essential
- Min 3-5 years proven Payroll Management experience - Essential
- Experience with outsourced salary packaging providers (currently SmartSalary) advantageous
- Experience in Aged Care and knowledge of Time Target - Advantage
- High level of verbal and written communication skills - Essential
- Ability to provide Evidence of Covid Immunisation x3
