Experienced Project Planner required for an on-going position within a hard rock mine in North West Queensland
**Your new company**
Your new company is the owner and operator of a hard rock mine site located in North West Queensland, they are owning and developing copper, zinc and other base metals projects across Australia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Peru.
**Your new role**
Your new role will see you working within the Projects team on site as a Project Planner. This role will see you responsible for contract management and contract planning, working an 8/6 roster with all meals, accommodation and flights from Townsville or Brisbane provided.
- Development of panel designs which optimise value and meet the long term mine plan.
- Delivery of development plans to meet midterm scheduling requirements.
- Optimisation of stope shapes and delivery of Stope Note Commentaries.
- Evaluation of mine design, sequencing and schedules to optimise plans and deliver improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with Operations, Geology, Production, Geotechnical, Ventilation and Survey team members to deliver safe and practical designs.
- Communicate plans through close working relations with Operations.
- Maintaining clear document control.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you must have:

- Projects and contract planning background ideally on a mine site
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role
- Contractor management and planning experience
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Project systems
- Engineering background would be highly regarded
- Manual Driving Licence
- Ability to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol
