Macmahon has been operating for over 50 years offering a range of capabilities, including open-cut mining, underground mining, drill and blast, civil construction, and plant and maintenance services. Macmahon also undertakes civil construction projects, including the construction of roads, dams, and other infrastructure required for mining operations. We have expertise in earthworks, site preparation, and project management for civil construction projects.

Due to continued growth - Macmahon are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Controller - Planner to support our Civil division in Brisbane.

As a key member of our team, your primary focus will be to ensure efficient cost progress control and financial management for our ongoing projects. You will collaborate closely with the project team, utilizing your expertise to interpret contracts, mitigate risks, and deliver precise cost estimates and forecasts. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills will play a vital role in maintaining accurate cost control databases and generating comprehensive reports.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cost and progress Control and Financial Management
- Maintain cost control databases and accurately forecast project costs.
- Review proposed schedule changes with the project team and stakeholders.
- Assist with and submit accurate payment claims within contract timelines.
- Prepare and issue reports to the project team and senior management as required.
- Assist in the preparation of claims and extension of time (EoT) submissions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company instructions, and client requirements.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Tertiary qualification, contract administration, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in project control, planning, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of contracts and financial risk management.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

You must be eligible to work in Australia. The recruitment process will include Pre-employment medical checks including drug & alcohol testing and a national police clearance.
