About the Role

Our Project Delivery team in the Brisbane CBD is at the forefront of growth, with a strong culture of collaborative and supportive teamwork, where innovation and meaningful challenges can help you thrive.

As our new Project Planner, you'll work closely with project managers to bring clarity and focus to every stage of project delivery—from study and tender through to project close-out. You'll set clear expectations, define deliverables, and create schedules that keep the whole team informed, accountable and on track.

You will:

  • Support the project management team in the development of detailed resource loaded project schedules, across the entire business, capturing single discipline as well as multi-discipline projects,
  • Lead resource planning across all disciplines, ensuring workloads are balanced and bottlenecks are identified early,
  • Develop a system for task planning and assignment, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and deadlines,
  • Work with discipline managers and Engineering Manager to optimise allocation of people and tools,
  • Monitor schedule performance, highlight risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions,
  • Develop standardised planning, scheduling, and reporting tools for consistent use across projects,
  • Provide regular updates and reports to project delivery and engineering management teams,
  • Ensure all project schedules are developed during the proposal stage in accordance with the planned execution methodology,
  • Provide weekly look ahead information to each discipline, every week to give clear guidance on business objectives and priorities,
  • Maintain project schedules and generate reports, including Earned and Planned value reports,
  • Report on project schedule status, including delays, progress complete, critical paths, and forecasts as required,
  • Maintain all schedules within an integrated portfolio schedule, and utilise this information to support the Business Unit in planning and resource allocation,
  • Identify and document any project / portfolio timing issues, identify opportunities for improvement and possible resolutions.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner, Scheduler, or with similar responsibilities within engineering, construction, or consultancy,
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of Word, Excel (essential), Microsoft Project (required), Primavera (desirable), and Microsoft office suite including Access (desirable),
  • Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary project delivery, resource planning, and task planning,
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify scheduling risks and propose solutions,
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously on multiple simultaneous projects with exposure to multidiscipline projects.
