We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Nutritionist to join our dynamic team, based at our Head Office in Mentone. Reporting into the Nutrition Lead you will provide input and assist the implementation of the Simplot Nutrition and Health strategy to drive growth opportunities for Simplot branded food products.

You will provide Health and Nutrition trends and insights in a meaningful way to influence and challenge key stakeholders to make informed decisions aligned with business strategy.

**What will you do**:

- Provide input and assist the implementation of the Simplot Australia Nutrition and Health (Nourish) strategy to drive growth opportunities for Simplot branded food products.
- Provide Health and Nutrition trends and insights in a meaningful way to influence and challenge key stakeholders to make informed decisions aligned with business strategy.
- Champion new product innovation and provides nutrition input for growth opportunities linked to consumer and customer needs, aligned with the business strategy and nutritional frameworks.
- Represent Simplot as SME for Nutrition to promote, inform and engage the broader community in Health and Nutrition.
- Support business wide communication & engagement strategy.
- Input to updates and education to customers, consumers and employees on the nutrition credentials of Simplot strategy, products and health and wellbeing.
- Ensures health and nutrition decisions and communications are based on solid scientific evidence.
- Drive commercially orientated health and nutrition messages relevant to product portfolio to drive sales opportunities.
- Take a balanced risk approach to develop and implement compliance and regulatory requirements,
- Helps develop and support key activities to enhance Simplot’s leadership positioning in Health and Nutrition within the community.
- Is a go-to expert for nutrition for new product development and Commercial category teams.

**About you**:

- Proven experience within the food industry (desirable)
- Professional accreditation as a Nutritionist or Dietitian
- Commercial Acumen - You will be interested and experienced in customer centric solutions for innovation and growth
- Ability to learn new technologies and communicate food related topics
- Experience in product development and innovation - Nutrition and technical guidance
- Exposure to brand and marketing communications
- Exposure to / experience in project management
- Working knowledge of FSANZ food regulations for nutrition & health claims

To be successful in this role, you will hold a professional accreditation, as a Nutritionist or Dietitian, preferably with experience in a similar role. Wi
