Lely, a world leader in automated milking and dairy solutions, is looking for aFarm Management Support (FMS) Specialistto join our team in Melbourne. This role is ideal for someone with adairy backgroundwho wants to combine their farming knowledge with technology and advisory work to support farmers across Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
As an FMS Specialist, your role is to optimise farm performance by tailoring solutions to fit each customers’ needs. You will apply your farm management expertise through data-driven tools and regular in-field visits, building long-term relationships with our Lely Centre’s and farmers.
You’ll provide direct support to Lely farmers while also collaborating with local Lely advisors through training and coaching, helping them maximise the value of Lely’s milking and digital farming systems. You’ll be the link between Lely International, our local Lely team, and the Lely Centres – helping achieve success throughtraining, coaching, and in-field support.
What You’ll Do
- Train and certify Lely Centre FMS Advisors.
- Support customers during the transition from conventional milking to robotics ensuring smooth implementation, as well as continuous proactive support for existing Lely customers
- Provide on-farm and remote support to our Lely Centres.
- Coach and mentor advisors to build long-term capability.
- Work closely with vets, nutritionists, and other farm advisors to achieve the best results for farmers.
- Share local farm insights with Lely International to improve products and services.
- A background in dairy farming or agricultural studies.
- Strong understanding of dairy farm operations and the ability to interpret farm data.
- Experience with robotic/automated dairy equipment (advantageous, but training provided).
- Strong communication and coaching skills – confident with farmers and advisors alike.
- Willing and able to travel regularly—locally, interstate, and overseas.
- Organised, customer-focused, and proactive in solving problems.
- A good existing network in the Australia & New Zealand dairy industry (preferred).
