**The role**

In this role, you will act as a specialist in Data Engineering and collaborate with the business as a consultant, with strong technical knowledge as well as excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be working closely with the Global Valuations Platform that Cox Automotive Australia utilises to provide valuations to products across the ecosystem.

Life in a day will include analysing transaction data, correlating forecast model output with market trends and collaborating with the business teams as required. Keeping things interesting, DA will also report status updates and recommendations to management concerning valuations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create key data assets for CAA’s business units.
- Productionise data assets for key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to build data science models, data assets, and dashboards.
- Analyse new and used car data, current and historical, to determine car valuations and present relevant reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with Statisticians and other Data Analysts to discern trends and their effects.
- Meet with representatives from automotive manufacturers, financial institutions, and dealers. This includes attending industry events such as seminars and product meetings.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in a similar role in a medium to large organisation or significant equivalent experience in a related industry
- Strong knowledge of writing SQL queries and creating data assets.
- A specialist in creating analytical solutions with Python.
- Able to create automated and/or semi-automated processors.
- Exemplary communication & decision-making skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with (any or all); DBT, Github, Dataiku, Snowflake, Tableau/PowerBI will be highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of or exposure working in the automotive industry will be beneficial.
