**Your new role**

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Construction, this role is primarily responsible for research on sector allocation within the FICC asset class and investment options.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Recommending capital and risk allocations to sectors and/or factors across FICC asset classes and investment options to meet performance objectives within required constraints
- Leading the design of the research and sector allocation recommendation process across the investible markets, including the optimal expression of such views across Government, Government related, Aus and Global credit, Emerging and Securitised markets in funded and derivative formats.
- Contributing to commentary, insight and forecasts as required for various committee and oversight papers.
- Presenting the portfolio outlook and sector allocation stance at regular team meetings and internal forums.
- Collaborating with counterparts within the Investments department and relevant external managers on market themes, insights and ideas.
- Supporting the development and use of portfolio optimisation tools.
- Supporting the oversight of the external managers and communicating key takeaways from manager meetings.
- Collaborating on new ideas or initiatives that support FICC portfolio construction, performance and cost, particularly with regards to future growth.

**What you’ll need**
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience working within the investment, funds management and/or superannuation industry.
- Strong knowledge of FICC asset classes and their drivers.
- Comprehensive understanding of driver of returns of various FICC strategies and instruments and how they can be blended to build Fixed Income and Credit portfolios.
- Problem solving, analytical and quantitative modelling skills.
- Ability to synthesise and communicate complex information to different level of audiences and stakeholders.
- Able to work autonomously in a small, collaborative team environment.
