**Organisation Overview**

The Legal Services Commission (Legal Services) is an independent statutory authority providing legal assistance to all South Australians. As the largest legal assistance service in SA, Legal Services offers a range of services, from legal information and advice to legal representation in State and Federal courts and tribunals. With a focus on client service and an unwavering commitment to the community, Legal Services is now seeking a dynamic and experienced civil and administrative lawyer to lead its Civil Law Division.

**Role Overview**

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this newly created role is responsible for providing legal expertise and strategic leadership to the Civil Law Division and its exceptional legal team. The Civil Law Division provides a flexible and responsive legal assistance service with a human rights focus, including both advice and representation, across a range of practice areas including migration, NDIS, mental health, guardianship and administration, social security and consumer law. This role will promote collaboration within the team and across the entire organisation to support the best and most comprehensive service provision to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. As a member of Legal Services’ Senior Management team, the Manager, Civil Law Division will also work closely with internal leaders and external stakeholders in ensuring justice is available and accessible for all South Australians.
