Acting in a strategic position, this role is accountable for the Melbourne Metropolitan region, including our support for major community and sporting events in the region, development of a team with strong safety values, ownership for the operational strategies and building a strong engagement culture with all staff and customers.
- You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:_
- _ Safety:_ Leading with strong safety values, drive leading safety behaviours and participation rates to encourage risk awareness of the teams.
- _ Engagement:_ Lead and inspire the operational team and branch network to develop and deliver continuous improvement strategies
- _ Customer Service:_ Aligned with our customer service principles, put our customers at the centre of everything we do
- _ Financial Performance:_ Mentor and guide the operational teams to ensure achievement of financial targets.
- _ Asset Performance:_ Optimise utilisation of asset fleet through labour and maintenance efficiencies, with supporting strategies to deliver benchmark R&M spend performance

**What you’ll bring to the role**

A commitment to customer service through proactive communication, transport efficiencies, fleet allocation and a collaborative branch network will ensure the regions ability to grow. Developing a close relationship with the sales, service and transport teams is critical to this role.
- Proven ability to drive a strong safety culture across both operations and maintenance environments

- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong, empathetic leadership skills, leading teams in any operational context is valued
