**The Role**
Prepare complex briefs and intelligence assessments related to Naval Force Protection issues. Responsible for interpreting and complying with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks including information management requirements. Identify and undertake research and analysis on Defence and security-related developments of strategic interest to Navy. Understand and utilise analytical tools and techniques to develop Naval force protection intelligence assessments. Build and sustain strong interactive relationships and negotiate with customers and key stakeholders to deliver tailored intelligence assessments.
Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify and recommend alternative courses of action. Design and implement solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes. Accountable for accurate and timely completion of work, sharing own expertise with others and guiding and mentoring less experienced employees. Work collaboratively, operates as an effective team member and actively participates in organisational activities.
**About our Team**
The Naval Force Protection Bureau (NFPB) is responsible for helping ensure the Royal Australian Navy meets its Force Protection requirements. We facilitate a strategic link between Defence, other Government agencies, and coalition partners for the protection of Navy assets and infrastructure critical to the Navy mission of Fight and Win at sea.
NFPB’s Intelligence team utilises existing intelligence products and other data to provide Navy units with tailored intelligence to their naval force protection requirements. The team will also conduct analysis and work with other Government agencies, and coalition partners on new and emerging Naval force protection related threats as well as providing support for the NFPB multi-agency domestic maritime security exercise program.
