**About The Role**
Our Environment and Health team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Environment Coordinator professional to join the team. The primary focus of this position is to co-ordinate and manage the day to day operations of the environment team including impact assessment of proposed development, environment education, energy efficiency projects and implement projects/programs that assist the team to promote and improve environmental outcomes.

**What you will be doing**:

- Plan, monitor and manage the team to achieve performance targets and business plan initiatives.
- Allocation of work to team members.
- Maintain team engagement and facilitate a culture that reflects corporate values.
- Provide high level strategic or specialised advice to senior management.
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer requests.
- Carry out duties under the biodiversity conservation/local government/EP&A act & relevant policies.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in environmental science, management or related discipline
- Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating an environment team or related role
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clear organisational expectations
- A positive and cooperative attitude with the ability to lead by example and encourage and motivate team members
- A good appreciation of the challenges in assessing environmental impacts on vegetation in a developing Shire with strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations
- Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills

**_Salary will be based on qualifications, expertise, experience & knowledge:_**

**Salary**: Starting from $114K per annum + Superannuation + Car Allowance/ Leaseback vehicle
