**The Role**
The ISwMR Coordinator is a critical member of the Office of Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) in the Business and Executive Support Team. This position works as part of multidisciplinary team to achieve results and provide high-level administrative support and coordination as the ISwMR secretariat in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing administration of the Independent Seaworthiness Management Review panel, including scheduling and monitoring review progress, providing support to a team of civilian and military senior executives.
- Preparing reports, minutes, agendas and executive briefs.
- Managing the administration requirements of a Defence Reserve workforce.
- Supporting strategic direction through clearly. communicating goals and objectives to stakeholders
- Thinking strategically to initiate and develop work plans, considering longer-term impact of these plans.
- Identifying problems and working to resolve them by implementing best practice approaches.
- Gathering information from a diverse range of sources, exploring new ideas for continuous improvement.

**About our Team**
The Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) provides the Defence Seaworthiness Authority (Chief of Navy) with independent assurance that maritime mission systems (warships, naval auxiliaries, and defence vessels) across the Defence Enterprise, comply with the Regulations as outlined in the Defence Seaworthiness Management System. Led by the Director-General Seaworthiness, ODSwR comprises of five Directorates and embraces the principles of a data driven regulator to identify, analyse, report on and resolve the impact of emerging hazards and risk to Seaworthiness in Defence. The core functions of ODSwR are to:

- Promulgate and Administer Regulations;
- Gather and Analyse Safety and Environment Data;
- Monitor and Assess Compliance;
- Provide Continual Assurance;
- Engage, Educate and Communicate with the Regulated Community and Peer Regulators
- Deliver Internal Business and Enabling Support.
