About Us:
Buller Ski Lifts is a pioneer in delivering thrilling skiing experiences. As a Junior Finance Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our finance team, learning the ropes while contributing to the integrity of our financial operations.

**Responsibilities**:
Start your journey by becoming familiar with and participating in Buller Ski Lifts' accounting processes, policies and procedures. Dive into entry-level tasks like invoice coding, journal creation, accounts payable, accounts receivable invoicing and other general bookkeeping tasks while learning and participating in compliance-related training sessions and workshops. Be involved with G/L data entry, coding, integrity and begin to learn and understand reconciliations (income/expenses, bank, etc).

Industry/Business Basics:
Hands-On Involvement:
Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures, actively participating in internal control testing and documentation efforts. Start tracking and reporting on internal control deficiencies, ensuring a hands-on approach to compliance tasks.

Communication and Documentation:
Develop your communication skills by working with various departments and explaining compliance requirements to colleagues. Engage in documenting compliance-related processes and procedures and assist in compiling compliance reports whilst maintaining accurate records.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of compliance policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
