Head of Retirement Platform

**Overview**

Reporting to the General Manager - Customer Experience & Solutions of Retirement & Superannuation Solutions (R&SS), you will be responsible for setting strategy and leading the Retirement program to deliver on RSS Retirement strategy, business growth and client outcomes globally.

This involves leading strategic design of operating model for delivering the Retirement strategy through build and run. In addition to overseeing the overall programmes of work, the role is responsible for strategy execution, coordinating commercialization of solutions and Go to Market for retirement propositions. Setting up and manage governance structure and having P&L responsibility for the program.

**This is a 6 months Fixed term contract role.**

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**

Strategic Focus
- Overseeing the strategic Retirement program of work, including execution of the delivery streams that will deliver the outcomes set out in the RSS Retirement strategy.
- End to end accountability for the Program P&L.
- Drive efficiency through solutions development and program delivery, provide timely and insightful learnings through to the GM - Customer Experience & Solutions.
- Identify improvement opportunities and work across business groups including CX & Solutions, Technology and value office to maximise overall business opportunities aligned to our client needs
- Develop and actively manage internal relationships within the business to ensure a shared understanding of the Retirement strategic objectives to support the delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.

Program and Operational Management
- Shaping, mobilizing and delivering the Retirement program
- Oversight of build program - accountable for delivery and outcomes across the 4 pillars of retirement strategy and their underpinning delivery squads
- Lead design of operating model for Retirement through build and run phases
- Ensure delivery is on time and budget
- Drive continuous improvements to the operating model and processes in order to identify revenue and margin enhancement opportunities whilst meeting agreed business outcomes.
- Coordinate commercialization of solutions and Go to Market for retirement propositions
- Identify and then play a key role in resolving roadblocks
- Surface and solution common issues all squads experience
- Interface smoothly with functions outside the program
- Create transparency around investments and returns
- Set up and manage program governance structure aligned to RSS overall governance
- Maintain up to date knowledge of pension & superannuation legislation and trends, changing client and member needs.
- Promote and lead a cohesive global and local project team to ensure shared vision and business outcomes are met.
- Nurturing agile ways of working with the Retirement and Superannuation Solution project team to embed an effective operating model.

People Leadership
- Ensure the team is continually building competency and maturity in innovation and is effective in delivering across all relevant products, solutions and services.
- Build, lead, coach and inspire the program team
- Role model customer first behaviours and embed in the team a customer first attitude in all interactions with external and internal stakeholders.
- Develop a team and capability to execute on solutions development and agile delivery across the program.

Governance & Risk
- Drive risk culture within the team and ensure a well-managed business model
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
- Support Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices
- Establishing and extending our risk and controls framework to include Retirement program

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Degree qualified in Business, Consulting, Commerce or related field
- Extensive experience working in large and complex environments relating to Financial Services
- Deep expertise with program management, or senior consulting experience
- Ability to present at Senior management and C-suite level
- Strategic delivery and solution development experience gained in Financial services
- Ability to demonstrate an aptitude for high quality solution selling, portfolio management and proactive relationship management at all levels.
- Able to effectively work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Competent in agile delivery
- Strong leadership and change management capabilities
- Thought leadership skills with evidence supporting strong, proactive and productive working relationships
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Demonstrate knowledge of current industry related issues
- Strategic focus on client delivery and commercial acumen
