- Support delivery of evidence based strategies and approaches to build more inclusive school learning environments.
- Ensure the progression of strategies and initiatives to improve educational outcomes by eliminating restrictive practices in schools, and assessing current status of schools and regions in the implementation of restrictive practice standards.
- Manage the implementation of procedures and guidelines associated with the use of restrictive practices in Queensland state schools.
- Work with schools and regions to build capability, skills and knowledge strategies to reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practices.
- Identify, develop and implement training packages for school leadership teams to strengthen the capability of schools to eliminate restrictive practices.
- Establish regional data collection, analyse data and provide reports for the Director on restrictive practices in schools.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
