An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Advisor - Medical Workforce to lead and coordinate medical workforce functions including recruitment, retention, rostering, credentialing, strategy, initiatives, tools, reporting and transactional activities for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).

The Principl Advisor holds responsibility for research, development, and implementation of medical officer attraction, selection and retention strategies, medical workforce planning and innovative solutions to solve medical workforce shortages.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- The position operates in a complex environment involving a wide range of competing priorities and stakeholders. The Principal Advisor Medical Workforce is responsible for undertaking continuous review to drive innovative and value-added initiatives to meet the current and future medical workforce requirements of the SCHHS.
- Leadership and management of the Medical Workforce Unit including high-level stakeholder and client engagement, maintaining an up to date knowledge of business requirements and provision of responsive client service within key performance indicators and with a commitment to continuous business improvement.
- Provide strategic advice and solutions for all contemporary medical workforce issues and hold responsibility for operational leadership and management of Medical Workforce Unit administrative staff.
