**About the Role**:
This role will be based in the BHP Perth office, flexible work options available.

The Principal Agreement Making will also be accountable for:

- Developing and maintaining trusted and respectful partnerships with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal Prescribed Bodies Corporates;
- Supporting the Indigenous Engagement team and the Operational Leadership teams in the effective negotiation, review and implementation of Native Title and land use agreements with Indigenous groups;
- Providing asset and functional coaching, support and advice on Indigenous Engagement related content and agreement making in general;

**About You**:

- Proven experience working with and the development of strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups and Aboriginal communities / effective community engagement background;
- Engaging and influencing at the most senior levels of the business to drive and lead change;
- Demonstrated expertise in agreement negotiation, reviews and implementation;
- Ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders to develop projects or programs that contribute to sustainable and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes;
- Proven ability to problem solve, work under pressure and time critical deadlines and;
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in a Legal discipline desirable.
