**About us**
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

**About the role**
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and execution of government reform strategies within the Consumer Affairs portfolio.

These high-profile reform projects span several key areas, including housing, cost of living and local government initiatives. The role will require strong project coordination skills, records management, the ability to research a range of policy options and synthesise advice for colleagues and the ability to collaborate with others effectively across the branch.

You will be delivery focussed, with a growth mindset and an ability to anticipate what might be needed. You will be highly organised, able to keep track of a wide range of requests and information sources. You will enjoy working in a dynamic and flexible environment within a supportive team.

**About you**

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Ensures written communications contain necessary information to achieve their purpose; uses appropriate style and formats.
- Seeks all relevant information for problem solving; investigates and probes for the facts; liaises with stakeholders; analyses issues from different perspectives and draws sound inferences from information available; identifies and proposes workable solutions to problems.
- Produces project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified
- Regularly communicates with and supports project team members; ensures project objectives are met by anticipating and managing potential and emerging issues.
- Plans and prioritises work to ensure outcomes are achieved, resists the temptation to react immediately without taking time to think things through
- A relevant project management qualification is desirable.

**Key accountabilities**
- Undertake research across a wide range of topics, and provide summary information to colleagues to support effective decision making
- Create written and visual products to support decision making
- Assist in accurately maintaining relevant business/project management databases, registers, and systems.
- Organise project meetings, briefings, and presentations, including the preparation and distribution of material pre and post meeting (agenda's, minutes, actions etc) and follow up on action items.
- Maintain high-quality project records management systems and processes for the teams
- Provide well-reasoned and clear written advice to support the delivery of projects
- Support the development of key policy documents, including briefings, correspondence, submissions, reports, presentations and Cabinet Papers.
