For our corporate office located at Sydney International Aiport we are looking for a Category Officer - Liquor, Tobacco & Coonfectionary. The Category Officer contributes to the category performance against financial and KPI targets. Their primary responsibility is maximising the engagement of the customer and customer satisfaction, be it through in-stock, promotion or range. The Category Officer will collaborate and manage the mutual interests of both the Operations and Purchasing team in line with the broader commercial strategy. They are the ambassador of the category and carry the authority of how the range is represented and executed on the shop floor.**Category Officer - LTC**

Your new job includes
- Complete weekly shop visits to observe and discuss stock position, customer demographics, range and promotional opportunities
- Assist with providing regular and timely Category updates both to internal and external stakeholders
- Weekly/Monthly Analytical reporting
- Ensure consistent high standards of customer service through ensuring the range maximises the customer experience and is store-appropriate
- Ensure stock availability and replenishment settings are in line with the business & brand requirements
- Implements industry leading category initiatives
- Analyses initiatives to ensure a high level of customer service by regularly reviewing customer feedback, trends and results

What you should bring along
- Previous experience including category coordination, strategic planning, forecasting and financial analysis
- Previous experience in managing high volume business and dynamic sales teams
- Previous experience in managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of contemporary sales techniques and strategies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced environment
- Extensive product knowledge, analytical skills and ability to identify market trends
- An interest and / or experience in the Liquor, Tobacco & Confectionary is a plus
