For our corporate office located at Sydney International Aiport we are looking for a Category Officer for our Fashion & Accessories/Beauty department.The Category Officer contributes to the category performance against financial and KPI targets. Their primary responsibility is maximising the engagement of the customer and customer satisfaction, be it through in-stock, promotion or range. The Category Officer will collaborate and manage the mutual interests of both the Operations and Purchasing team in line with the broader commercial strategy. They are the ambassador of the category and carry the authority of how the range is represented and executed on the shop floor.**Category Officer Fashion & Accessories**

Your new job includes
- Ensures consistent high standards of customer service through ensuring the range maximises the customer experience and is store-appropriate
- Reviews and analyses initiatives to ensure a high level of customer service by regularly reviewing customer feedback, trends and results
- Negotiate Staff incentives and aid the Operations team to execute in store
- In collaboration with the Category Manager, effective management of data integrity, inventory flow and inventory levels
- Provides analysis on current and future category, stock and customer demands and trends
- Liaise with Supply Chain and work in collaboration to ensure stock is ordered on time and available for on counter dates/promotions
- Manage and achieves set Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Analyses, executes and implements actions to develop/correct KPIs including but not limited to, the development of category strategies

What you should bring along
- Previous experience including category coordination, strategic planning, forecasting and financial analysis
- Previous experience in managing high volume business and dynamic sales teams
- Previous experience in managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of contemporary sales techniques and strategies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- An interest and / or experience in the related categories (Fashion & Accessories/Perfume & Cosmetics )
- Ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced environment
- Extensive product knowledge, analytical skills and ability to identify market trends
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Financial analysis skills and the ability to develop, read and interpret financial reports
- Advanced MS Excel, and SAP/R3 (Retail) or similar ERP system
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant work experience)
