**Your new company**
Our client is a public sector organisation based in North Brisbane. They are looking to engage a Principal Environmental Planner, reporting to a Coordinator within Development Services, who will lead the assessment of development on the Biodiversity within the Moreton Bay Region.
**Your new role**
- Help support the coordination of developmental project assessments
- Lead the review of notices of election and offset delivery plans
- Support continual improvement
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will need immense knowledge of the principles and practices regarding planning, design, protection and rehabilitation of environmental areas. As well as
- Tertiary degree in Ecology, Environmental sciences, environmental planning or equivalent
- White card, Open drivers licence
- Knowledge in Nature conservation, vegetation management and environmental offset legislation for QLD and knowledge of the State Planning Policy, the SEQ Regional Plan, and the Planning scheme
**What you'll get in return**
The Client is offering a 9-week contract, to fill in for a leave period. Looking at 36.25 hours minimum per week, at approximately $60 per hour.
