**About Job**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supporting people with disabilities to live GREAT lives? The lives they want and choose.
- Have flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
- Community access hours which can be anytime during the week or weekends 3-5 hours a day
- Identify Participants’ goals and work with participant to achieve those goals
- Peer support to those who need to get out of their home and involve in community activities
- Work with individuals to get them to do recreational activities which will include organizing those recreational support. Support worker to help identify the right support and organise this with community support worker.
- Work with participants to come up with some ideas on what they want to achieve from support hours.
- Creating a safe environment for participants when doing any kind of activities
- Have the capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks.
- Enjoy working in a small team environment as well as independently if required

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Relevant Experience**
- Experience and qualifications within Community Services minimum Cert III in community or relevant
- Able to work effectively with people from all walks of life including CALD and the traditional owners of the land, Indigenous People.
- A genuine, empathetic and passionate nature
- Ability to liaise and build rapport with participants, families and carers’
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Experience working with people with disability
- An unrestricted WA Drivers Licence
- Ability to travel including own car
