We currently have an opportunity for a **Security Advisor**to join our team. Working closely with the Senior Security Specialist, you will manage the Social Infrastructure & Citizen Services enterprise security requirements and ensure compliance against the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). Additionally, the role will be responsible for actively managing, monitoring, and reporting on the implementation of enterprise security initiatives including the administration and coordination of all security clearances.

**What you’ll do**

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

- Develop, contribute and/or maintain enterprise security documentation, including plans, processes, procedures and internal security controls
- Conduct regular enterprise security risk assessments and coordinate required mitigations and/or remediations
- Manage the facility security requirements of Downer offices
- Coordinate, facilitate and/or conduct investigations into security incidents as directed by the CSO
- Conduct regular security awareness training for staff and ensure staff undertake and project specific security training
- Manage and maintain the security clearance register and conduct day to day administration of all security clearance requests, change of circumstances, etc.

**What you’ll bring**
- Bachelor of Security Studies or equivalent (desirable)
- Cert. IV in Security or a related field
- Defence Security Officers accreditation (DS&VS) or ability to attain
- A minimum Australian Government Security Vetting Agency **NV2**Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with working knowledge of the Defence Security Principals Framework, Protective Security Policy Framework and Information Security Manual.
- Experience within an Australian Government working environment
- Experience in the Defence industry desirable
