**THE ROLE**
**Are you**:
- An experienced safety officer with a passion for delivering effective, accurate and informative safety advice?
- Effective at collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders who may have varying degrees of knowledge with respect to occupational health, safety and wellbeing systems and procedures?
- Equipped with strong verbal and written communication skills to share complex matters simply and can self-manage personal priorities?
A new Safety Officer role has been created within the Enterprise Portfolio Governance (EPG) team of Homes Victoria. The Safety Officer will actively support and enhance the implementation of Homes Victoria's occupational health, safety and wellbeing systems and procedures. The role will also assist in the identification of process improvements and the development of activity focused documentation and tools.
The Safety team supports the implementation of the Homes Victoria Corporate and People Strategies with this role contributing as directed where their skills can support the outcomes.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Support the review of the Departments Health Safety and Wellbeing management system, identify operational and process improvements.
- Support the planning and implementation of the Occupational, Health Safety and Quality Assurance program (internal and external) and risk assessments on-site.
- Provide insights and reporting from the Occupational, Health Safety and Quality Assurance program activities.
