**THE ROLE**

Origin's strategy is to lead the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Origin Zero has been setup with the objective of achieving this with a focus on large businesses.

The newly formed business unit will focus on partnering with our c. 15,000 large businesses to navigate the transition to a de-carbonised energy system. Origin Zero aims to curate propositions that span categories such as: virtual power plant services, solar & storage, e-mobility, energy efficiency, advisory and carbon management as well as supplying a wide range of energy supply options from increasingly renewable sources.

Reporting to the Technical Lead - Energy Solutions, this role is responsible for supporting and managing the implementation and operations of flexible energy solutions, including demand response, demand flexing, virtual power plant and others.

The role sits within the Distributed Energy Products team, responsible for building and maintaining the product vision for distributed energy products, including solar, battery and demand response offerings as well as other on-site technologies to help Origin Zero’s commercial and industrial customers reduce their carbon footprint or energy costs.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

- Owning the critical process from customer sale through to enrolment of flexible load into the Origin VPP
- Supporting the Business Development and Advisory team as their key contact when assessing customers technical and operational ability to participate in Flexibility programmes
- Owning of the critical process of the operation of Origin’s virtual power plant activities for large customers in various market programs
- Owning the critical process for customer settlement and reporting, both internal and external
- Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate stakeholders from Trading, Operations, Billing and Sales teams
- Customer relationship management throughout the delivery process, programme operations and settlement
- Management of multiple customer accounts at any point in time
- Understanding of customer distributed energy resources (DER) such as generators, SCADA/BMS systems, HVAC, energy storage and electricity meters
- Ability to liaise and communicate with technical personnel on solution designs
- Commitment to continuous improvement through event reviews and process improvement
- Be an evangelist for distributed energy solutions and contributing to the on-going evolution of processes, ways-of-working, communications
- Monthly customer reporting on event performance and anticipated financial benefit of participating in enrolled programme.

**IS THIS YOU?**

You’ll have a strong customer focus, be able to build strong relationships both with and outside of the business, have the ability to manage multiple priorities and a strong completion focus.

You have or can demonstrate:

- Project delivery focus. Minimum 3-years of experience in delivering projects in the energy sector with a priority placed on demand response, energy solutions/services or renewables.
- Ability to engage with customer contacts on product delivery and build effective operational relationships
- Ability to follow processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Commercially savvy and can connect site technology and digital experiences with business outcomes.
- Stakeholder management skills with a proven track record in building relationships with stakeholders from different areas of the business, bringing parties together to define collective solutions.
- Strong communication & presentation skills, attention to detail and organisational skills.

It would be advantageous if you also had
- Experience in a delivering demand response or distributed energy resource related projects such as solar or storage.
- Exposure to decarbonisation, energy markets or energy trading
