**The Role**
The Training Package Assurance Body is responsible for assessing national training package products developed by Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs) against the Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF) and for recommending endorsement of compliant training package products to Skills Ministers. The Training Package Assurance team will also provide guidance and support to JSCs on common non-compliance issues and on specific TPOF matters as required.

The team is made up of experienced VET sector specialists with deep knowledge of national training package products, quality assurance, and compliance. We are a small team that fosters a high performing culture and work closely together to deliver a streamlined and transparent assurance assessment process.

This role provides the opportunity to join this team of specialists, learn more about the national training system, and contribute to high quality training packages for the Australian VET sector.

Reporting to an Assistant Director, the Assurance Program Support Officer will support training package product assessment by tracking submissions, analysing data and preparing reports, drafting responses to queries, as well as managing their assigned assurance assessments to ensure that deliverables are met in line with established policies and procedures.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
The Assurance Program Support Officer will contribute to the work of the Training Package Assurance Team, including undertaking an initial check of each submission, analysing data and preparing reports, conducting assurance assessments and liaising with Jobs and Skills Councils where required.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Coordinating and analysing data to draft reports and advice to contribute to performance reporting and trend analysis.
- Co-ordinating content and assisting in the preparation of ministerial submissions
- Undertaking assurance activities including conducting assessments on low complexity submissions and preparing draft reports and correspondence
- Participating in evaluation activities and identifying opportunities for improving assurance practice.
